An interesting project called “The sonic sitka project”. A number of soundboards were cut from a particular sitka spruce log and distributed to various luthiers. Each was asked to build a guitar of their choice and to record the sound in a defined way, all recordings to be assembled and stored. The idea is to repeat the recording exercise at later dates to observe the development of tone. This guitar is now owned by pedro “Peixe” Cardoso.
During five decades I have handbuilt over a thousand instruments. I continually strive to push the boundaries of what is expected in the performance of an acoustic instrument.
