Flat tops, arch tops, classical, bluegrass mandolins, celtic bouzoukis. That about sums up the categories of instruments I am happy to build and confident to offer. Variations and sub categories are within the scope of that. I build with hide glue and finish with oils and French polish. I prefer to use European woods as far as possible, though I have some old stock of recycled timbers, for example enough Indian rosewood from a 19th century sideboard to last me out for bridges. I have a number of standard models, and I choose different woods and trim individually.

About
During five decades I have handbuilt over a thousand instruments. I continually strive to push the boundaries of what is expected in the performance of an acoustic instrument.
